Equine Artist: Jo Zeller Quentin

David Sanderson Around the World

We’d like to take a moment to introduce an artist that also happens to be a customer of ours. Jo Zeller Quentin currently works as a professional painter, illustrator and fine art printer. Blending a rider’s knowledge of anatomy, tack and equine behavior with an artist’s understanding of paint and ink, she creates portraits that have elicited tears of joy from her clients and admiration from her fellow horse lovers.

Her work has been collected internationally, as well as being exhibited in many  juried shows and competitions.  Her award winning images have appeared in magazines such as Chronicle of the Horse and Horses in Art, and her work has hung at The International Museum of the Horse, HITS Ocala, HITS Saugerties, Ciel Gallery, ING Gallery, Lazarus Gallery and other venues.  She has been a featured artist for LOPE , HITS Thermal,  Southbound Show Management, and The Humane Society of Sarasota County.

She also donates prints and original pieces to various horse rescue groups across the country, especially those involved in rescuing and retraining off-the-track Thoroughbreds.  Joanna currently resides in Dallas, TX with her husband, three dogs, two cats, and birds, and lives within walking distance of her horses at the local barn.  She is available for commissioned portraiture and illustration projects, as well as having a limited number of original paintings, giclee reproductions and HoofPRINTS Note Cards for sale.  Joanna is a proud juried member of AUAR- Artists United for Animal Rescue- and holds a membership in the International Society of Equine Artists.
