Four Horses Used for ‘The Lone Ranger’

There’s a new moving coming out soon. Maybe you’ve heard of it. The Lone Ranger opens July 3 and we recently saw an article explaining why the creators ended up using four horses to play “Silver.” Each horse was suited to a different set of skills needed for the production.

In the new movie, Johnny Depp stars as Tonto – but the real star is Silver, the Lone Ranger’s clever stallion. What most people don’t know is that four different horses were needed to perform several different scenes. Some of the horses were easier to train than others, but in the end – it all came together.
